Worm Bins

Redworms    Worm Castings

For compositing, the redworm or "red wiggler" (Elsenia fetida) is by far the worm of choice. One pound of redworms can consume up to one pound of organic matter per day.

Worm castings (worm poop) is a natural organic fertilizer that greatly benefits your plants and gardens. Castings also have up to 10 times more nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium than just regular topsoil.

Worm composting is an incredibly efficient way to convert kitchen scraps, junk mail and cardboard into nutrient-rich compost for your garden.
